I hope the semi-religious theme doesn't kill the art for you. This piece actually came about by accident.
I was trying to get a little inspiration from a beautiful song by Nightwish called: While Your Lips are Still Red But when I tried to draw something, this came out. I was very....suprised. But I do like how it came out. Recently, I've found that I'm beggining to like my work more and more. It really makes me want to draw 24/7.
Anyway, about this picture.... There's a girl. And the blue-ish purple stuff around her hands and arms is "sin." She's trying to break free from it, but isn't doing so well, making her sad.
The windowpane-type things around her are ment to show that sin can creep in at all angles, and in places one would never expect to see it.
Also, this is meant to be a grayscale piece (got that wonderful idea from my mom). Sorry if the greys blended badly. It's my first black and white pice. I'm not very good at photoshop, so that's why I did the greys by hand. The random bits of color are for dramatic affect.
I hope you like it! Any tips or critiques would be SUPER helpful!!

This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
